Common Symptoms: Stomach or abdominal discomfort, pain, bloating, vomiting, regurgitation, heartburn/reflux, nausea, flatulence, belching, indigestion.
Alarm Symptoms: Age older than 60 years with new-onset dyspepsia, family history of upper gastrointestinal cancer, unintended weight loss, gastrointestinal bleeding, persistent vomiting, progressive difficulty swallowing, unexplained iron-deficiency anemia, palpable mass or lymphadenopathy, jaundice.

Many of these symptoms can be mild and frequently overlap with other common GI conditions. When patients report these symptoms, testing for H. pylori should be considered.
